Peter Derkas Obituary

Peter Derkas, age 56, of McKeesport, died May 27, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born August 18, 1963, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Stephen and Janet (Petroski) Derkas. He worked at the McKeesport Senior Care Plaza as a dietary aid. He loved to cook and was known to walk everywhere. He enjoyed having a good time and was the life of the party. He is survived by a son, Stephen (Crystal Layhue) Monaghan; daughter, Kaci Derkas; grandchildren, Ryan, Ryleigh, Stephen Jr., Gabby, Abby and Payeton; sisters, Jeanette Derkas and Beverly Derkas; brother Joseph Derkas; nieces and nephews, Tara Ragan, Bethann Derkas, Nicole Derkas, Chrissy Derkas, Joseph Jay Derkas, Robert Derkas, and Paul Derkas. He was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen and Paul Derkas. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
