Kenneth Thornton Obituary

Kenneth L. Thornton, age 68, of Liberty Borough, died October 10, 2019, at Bridgeville Rehabilitation & Care Center. Born March 30, 1951, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John B. and Shirley (Coulter) Thornton.
Kenneth volunteered many years at McKeesport Hospital and Carnegie Museum. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Summa Cum Laude. Kenneth also attended Jefferson Medical School of Philadelphia. Kenneth enjoyed classical music and loved his nieces and great-nephew.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Glenn) Boyd of South Park; nieces, Sarah (Andrew) Flower and Hannah; great-nephew, Caleb.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, October 13, 2019, 3 p.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102.
Inurnment will be in Round Hill Cemetery at a later date.
