Janet M. Picketts

Janet M. Picketts, age 78, of McKeesport, died on April 10, 2020, at UPMC Montefiore. Born September 21, 1941, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ann (Uhrin) Pipp and the wife of the late Gary A. Picketts.
Janet retired from Farm Pride Poultry of Wilkinsburg, where she was a secretary and clerk. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. Janet enjoyed shopping, and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Janet adored her grandchildren and was known to them as, "Sexy Grandma!"
Janet is survived by her children, Diana (Dan) Barkovich of Gibsonia, Kimberly Wassel of Elizabeth, and Gary E. (Jennifer) Picketts of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Traci, Kelly, Carly, Ashleigh, Vinnie, Page, Zachary, and Jory; great-grandchildren, Rieland, Olivia, Jacob, Dylan, Sophia, Landon, Kensley, Kelci, Quinn, Brooke, Connor, Bryleigh, and Grayson; siblings, Henry (Midge) Pipp of Elizabeth Twp., Pat (Bill) Prettyman of FL, and Donald (Debbie) Pipp of Irwin sister-in-law, Joanne Pipp of McKeesport; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Pipp, and son-in-law, Vince Wassel.
Private family arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church at a later date. Entombment took place in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wassel family and will be donated to Brain Cancer Awareness.
