Helen Krajacic Obituary


Helen L. Krajacic, age 95, of Stahlstown, formerly of Liberty Borough, died March 19, 2021, at Life's Promise in Stahlstown. Born February 7, 1926, in McKeesport, and the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Shaffner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Krajacic. She is survived by sons Richard (Tammy Skelley) Krajacic, of Donegal, and Jeffry (Debra) Krajacic, of Hartland, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Rachel (Kevin) Kvasnica and Jeffry A. Krajacic; great-grandchildren, Roman, Beckett, Josephine, Tyler, and one more on the way and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by siblings Betty Perich, Rose Supansic, Goldie Nagy, Dolores Wedel, Mary Grommo, and William Schaffer. Helen was an active member of St. Eugene Catholic Church, always volunteering to help in many ways, one of which was making her infamous cabbage rolls. She was an avid reader, quilter, and loved to sew, of which many family members and charities were the recipient of the benefits of such skill and a baker. Her family and friends will always remember her delicious nut rolls. When she was not doing any of the aforementioned, she loved to travel the world. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Family and friends will gather to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene Church, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at New St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum.
