Florence Irwin Obituary

Florence (Nicora) Irwin, peacefully accepted the Lord’s hand for eternal life in the comforts of her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in McKeesport, PA. on March 28, 1934, she was the proud daughter of the late Peter and Mary Nicora.
Flo was a loving and caring wife and mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Flo was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Irwin, loving mother of Karen (Paul) Gumbert and Michelle Irwin of McKeesport, Louann (Stacey) Hancher of Fleming Island, FL., Robert (Rosemary) Irwin of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Eric (Beth) Gumbert, Amy Gumbert, and Dana (Keith) Gumbert all of McKeesport, Corey (Meghan) Irwin of Chicago, IL., Cody (Lynda) Irwin of Virginia Beach, VA., Casey Irwin of Pittsburgh, Chris Hanchar of Fleming Island, FL.; great-grandchildren Kayla Cash, RJ Cash, and Kyla Cash all of McKeesport, Jackson Irwin of Virginia Beach, VA.; brothers, Pete (Brenda) Nicora, Dan (Theresa) Nicora, Rudy (Emily) Nicora, all of McKeesport, sisters, Connie Raible of McKeesport, and Linda (Randy) Tosto of Agua Dulce, CA. Flo was also blessed with a wonderful Irwin extended family and numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, Flo was preceded in death by sister, Viola (George) Gazdich; brothers, George (Shirley) Nicora and Mickey (Mary) Nicora; nephews, Michael Gazdich and Cary Nicora .
In honor of Flo’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, and a private memorial will be held for the immediate family. The Irwin family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice of Irwin team of Brittany Banks, Breanne Hardy, and Chaplain Chuck Schaller for their wonderful support in caring for our mother.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
