Catherine "Kate" Burkett

Catherine J. "Kate" Burkett, age 80, of North Versailles, formerly of McKeesport, died June 25, 2020, at home.  Born December 28, 1939, in Liberty Borough, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma (Ballas) Harrison.  She was retired from Stratwood Catering as a kitchen cook.  Being a mother, grandmother, and taking care of her family brought her great joy.  She is survived by children, Kathy (Chuck) Burkett, Joann (Ted) Panico, and Kenneth "Bill" (Heidi) Burkett.  She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brothers, Richard and Wilburt Harrison.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com
