Helen Layhue Obituary

Helen Layhue, age 93, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Glassport, died May 1, 2019, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born September 24. 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Bienkowski and the wife of the late Thomas Layhue, Sr.
Helen was a woman of faith and family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, in her earlier years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her children, Thomas Layhue, Jr. of Waves, NC, Joseph (Linda) Layhue of White Oak and John Layhue of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Amy (Larry), Joe, Ryan, Jennifer and Christopher (Scott); great-grandchildren, Arionna, Cameron, Ian, and Noah; also nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 1p.m., in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow.
