Sandra Maitland Obituary

Sandra Sue Maitland, age 73, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born November 1, 1947, in Ambridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marjorie L. (Newell) Salonus and the wife of the late James E. Maitland.
Sandra retired as an LPN. She was a practicing Jehovah's Witness. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, reading, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her son, Richard Basinger; grandchildren, David, Daniel, Sayge, Faith, Emily, Alexis, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Harrison; siblings; Mary Ellen Rockwell, of Cranberry, and William Salonus, Jr., of Wisconsin.
In addition to her parents and second husband, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Sr.
Memorial contributions are suggested to any local animal shelter of your choosing.
