Rose (Schaffner) Supansic

Rose Supansic, age 97, of McKeesport, died February 16, 2021, at home.  Born January 30, 1924, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (White) Schaffner and wife of the late Alvin Supansic.  Rose was a Rosie Riveter during World War II.  She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to walk almost every day.  She is survived by grandsons Shawn and Scott Supansic; sister, Helen Krajacic, and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sons Ron and Randy Supansic; siblings Goldie Nagy, Mary Grommo, William Supansic, Dolores Wedel, and Betty Perich.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Patrick Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at New St. Joseph.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.  Charles Danforth, Supervisor.
