Robert Younge Obituary

Robert E. Younge, age 82, of Elizabeth, died November 13, 2020, at home. Born July 13, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Monaghan) Younge and the husband of the late Geraldine Marie (Zuger) Younge.
Robert retired from Ingram Barge Company, where he was a riverboat captain. He was also the former union president of Local # 54. Robert was a member of St. Michael's Church in Elizabeth, where he was a former Sunday School Teacher. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed walking his dog "Tino."
Robert is survived by his children, Bobbie (Carmen) Costa of Bethel Park, Bernadette (Robert) Todaro of Elizabeth, Jace (Lori) of Elizabeth, and Joseph of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Angela(Chris) Bowman of Liberty Borough, Melissa (A.J.) McCauley of Jefferson Hills, Kayla (Mike) Hutchinson of Elizabeth, Dane Younge of Belle Vernon, and Dillon Younge of Belle Vernon; great-grandchildren, Marcus, Taylor, Vinny, Camryn, Lane and Lake; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jim, Jack, and Arlene Vines.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 9 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon, in St. Michael's Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery.
