Nina Mockabee

Nina Mockabee   - November 15, 2009 – July 31, 2021 – 11 years 8 months.

Nina passed away peacefully with her loving mommy Tamra by her side on Saturday, July 31, 2021, under the care of the White Oak Veterinarian Clinic staff

Nina was gifted to her mommy Tamra Mitchell 10 years ago when Nina was just a pup.

Nina was very nice, extremely friendly towards children, vibrant,  a great companion also fondly and passionately known as my little escape artist.

Nina loved to go for walks, especially AFTER mommy left for work in the morning.  This is how she got her name ‘My Little Escape Artist’  While on her lead in my back yard, Nina always found a way to escape out of her leash and go meet her favorite Aunt Lorri to walk her to Centennial School, where Aunt Lorri worked.

Nina quickly fell in love with all the children, and sometimes Nina would just take a walk to Centennial School on her own just to play with the children.  Many times Aunt Lorri got called to the Principal’s Office so she could bring my little escape artist back home.

Nina was always extremely friendly to all my family members and my friends.  She would not allow anyone in my house until they rubbed her head or rubbed her belly.

Nina was very protective and territorial of my home.  NO wildlife was permitted near my property or it was ‘curtains’ for the animals.

Although I tried to keep her contained to dog food, however, Nina never agreed with that, she could not wait until I turned my back to sneak my food.  She loved human’s food especially smoked turkey tail, and ham bones.

Nina is survived by her mommy Tamra Mitchell, Aunts Cheryl, Lorri, Deidre Mockabee, her Grandpap Albert Mockabee (Beverly), and a host of cousins and friends.  Nina will be truly missed.
