KitKat, affectionately known as Kit, crossed over the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, following an illness. Her family is heartbroken. Born in July of 2007, Kit was adopted by the Harnett family in the Spring of 2008. While searching for a pet to love, Kit captured their hearts with her loving kisses to her future dad at the shelter. KitKat loved her treats, sleeping on mom's lap with her favorite afghan and bird watching from the windowsills. For the last two years, she loved sitting on the back porch and feeling the breeze while one of her family would sit on the step with her. Rolling in the grass and sunning were her favorite. Whatever room in the house her family was in, she was there also. She leaves behind her fur sister, Sophie. Even though they never got to become besties, her loss is felt deeply. My husband Jim and I and our two sons, Josh and Adam, will miss her terribly. We would always say that we had never met a cat so friendly and ready to greet anyone coming through the front door. Never a bite or hiss towards anyone, only kisses. We take comfort in knowing that she is now free from her sickness and pain. We hope she plays in green fields with other kitties, chases birds, and does what happy cats do. May God watch over her until we see her again. She'll always be "Mama's Best Girl."
Love, Jim, Lisa, Josh, and Adam Hartnett
