Joan E. (Koon) Bellamy

Joan Koon Bellamy, age 84, of Port Vue, died September 24, 2020, at home. Born December 10, 1935, in Parkersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gordan W. and Grace (Eynon) Koon.
Joan retired from Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth, where she was a nurse supervisor. She had a long career working into her late 70's. Joan was a graduate of the McKeesport Hospital Nursing School. She was a US Air Force veteran who served her country with pride. Joan was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church, FOD, and Church Woman's Club. She was an avid reader and a staunch movie buff.
Joan was survived by her children, Ian Bellamy (Lisa Howard) of Glassport, and Mary Bellamy Skinner of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Arianah, Brianah, Elliot, Preston (Heydi), Aaron (Destinie), Jessica (Iain), Wesley, William; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Koon; son, Henry Maynard Bellamy III.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. A blessing service and military honors will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, 3 p.m., at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017.
