Henry came into my life as a rescue on May 15, 2013. He was a happy guy from day one, but you could tell he had been through a lot and wasn’t really one for much affection or eye contact. After a few months, his sweet personality began to shine. His eyes glowed, and he was now the first to snuggle up with you, whether on the couch, bed, or crawling into a sleeping bag on camping trips.
Henry’s adventures took him to Washington D.C., walking the streets of our capital and loving life in hotels. Basking in the sun and the warm sand of a beach, staying in a treehouse in Ohio, and camping in the mountains, and walks around Pittsburgh.
Anyone that came into our home, Henry always welcomed them with his tail wagging and favorite lamb chops toy. He enjoyed chasing squirrels through the park, running through leaf piles, and going on walks so he could sniff everything he came across.
Right up until Henry’s last day, he was still my sweet little guy. Going on one last adventure. A walk through the park, but in his wagon since his legs were weak, laying in the sun listening to the birds, a cup of ice cream, and one last family cuddle. Although we will miss you and our hearts hurt, our lives were made better because you were in it.
