Eugene B. "Gene" Tyler

Eugene B. "Gene" Tyler, age 50, of Port Vue, died at home on August 29, 2020. Born September 10, 1969, in McKeesport, he was the son of William and Allie (Schmeltz) Tyler and the loving husband of Jennifer (Nordine) Tyler for 31 years.

Gene was a 1987 graduate of McKeesport High School and went on to enlist in the Navy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time at his camp near Kittanning. At home, you could find him cooking, watching Nascar, rooting for the Steelers and Penguins, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by daughters, Samantha and Elizabeth Tyler; brothers, Jody Tyler, and William "Wil" Tyler, III, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m.
