Dolores "Dolly" Osiecki

October 17, 1927 ~ August 2, 2020 (age 92)

Obituary

Dolores “Dolly” Osiecki - an angel has left this earth and is now in heaven. Formerly of Port Vue, passed away on August 2, 2020. Dolly worked at the G.C. Murphy, Co. Warehouse, for more than 40 years. Born in Canonsburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Zydanowicz) Osiecki. Preceded in death by sisters, Sally (Steve) Gaidos, Justine (Chey) Antkiewicz, Gertie (Bill) Fox, brothers Ben (Juanita), Norman (Jean), and Alfred Osiecki.
Reunited now with the love of her life, Charles “Chucky” Johnson, they are still an inseparable pair as they were for more than 50 years.
Survived by her niece and caregiver, Liz (Joe) Fox, of Monroeville, nephews Jim (Renee) Antkiewicz, of Center Township, Gary (Rhonda) Osiecki, of Michigan, and Kenneth Osiecki of Indiana, other nieces and nephews and cousins.
She is also survived by her loyal  “telephone girls” - sisters-in-law, Eileen (Skip) Pierce, Jeannie (Hank) Hayes, Mary Biagini, and Phyllis Reno who faithfully called and kept in touch with Dolly every day  - and by so many nieces and nephews, she loved in the Johnson family.
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff of UPMC McKeesport, Forbes Hospital (especially nurse Rachel Cleary and Social Worker, Amanda Bolden), and everyone at Grane and Woodhaven Care Facility - Amanda, Phyllis (FaceTime was awesome!), but especially her nurse and our guardian angel, Maryla Rambacher.  As Dolly would say, “Thank you for being so nice.”
Dolly was the kindest and most generous person we ever knew. Never did she say a bad word about anyone and was always happy, upbeat, and independent. Loved to try anything new and appreciated everything that she was given. More importantly, she wanted to do things for others and not for herself.  Her favorite saying was, “Every day is Christmas.”  She believed that you should never wait until someone’s birthday, Christmas, illness, and especially death to show others how much you care.  She said that they should enjoy the gifts/surprises while they are living.
To honor Dolly’s memory - please show someone close to you how much you care - give them flowers to enjoy, candy to savor, or perfume to
make them feel beautiful.
Dolly left this earth with Liz holding her hand, playing her favorite songs, and with a smile on her face.
There will be no visitation.  A celebration of Dolly’s life will be planned when it is safe for everyone to get together.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
