Antes Nazaryk Evanchak

Antes Nazaryk Evanchak, age 94, of Versailles Borough, died peacefully October 17, 2023, at Riverside Care Center of McKeesport. Born March 5, 1929, on Blaine Hill, Elizabeth, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Theresa (Rusynik) Nazaryk and the beloved wife of the late Joseph "Cubby" Evanchak.
Antes was a dedicated wife, mother, and a woman of faith. She was a member of the St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church of McKeesport. Antes enjoyed bingo and sweets of all kinds. Her greatest love was her grandchildren; she truly enjoyed the time she spent with them. Antes was a simple woman, with a loving heart and will be forever missed and celebrated by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Rebecca) Evanchak; granddaughters, Emily Jo Evanchak and Julie Marie Evanchak; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Antes was also preceded in death by her siblings, Michael Kytchak, Metro Kytchak, Mary (Kytchak) Homa, Ann (Kytchak) Koget, Frank Kytchak, Helen (Nazaryk) Kurutz, Olga (Nazaryk) Vidil, and Joe Nazaryk.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 6 to 9 p.m., with the Panachida service at 7 p.m. The Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, 330 Shaw Ave. McKeesport, PA 15132. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
