Anna Notaro Obituary

Anna Mae Notaro, age 90, of Port Vue, died on January 21, 2024, at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.  Born July 24, 1933, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Anna (Korap) Kowalski and the wife of Joseph Notaro for 70 years, or as she would say, "all her life."

Anna, better known as Mae, was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish.  Mae and Joseph made cherished memories while traveling together, with Palm Springs being one of their favorite destinations.  Their excitement reached unparalleled heights when they had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the iconic game show, The Price is Right.  Her sense of community could be seen in her involvement with the Port Vue Senior Citizens.  Mae dedicated her time as a director, organizing meaningful bus tours for others to enjoy.  Mae's love for puzzles brought a sense of accomplishment.  She would spend hours carefully piecing together intricate designs, and then, once completed, she would share puzzles with her friends to enjoy.  Mae also enjoyed scratch-off tickets and trips to the casino, where she would play the slots.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Karen (Barry) Young and Jeffrey (Tracey) Notaro; grandsons, Eric (Amoreena) Young, Craig (Christina) Young, Jeffrey (Lauren) Notaro, Michael Notaro, and Daniel Notaro; great-grandchildren, Adria Young, Addison Notaro, and Dade Davenport.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Seibert, Louise Cottom, and Raymond Kowalski.  The services for Mae will be private.  Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at
