Anita Louise Gallaway

Anita Louise Gallaway, age 62, of McKeesport, died June 21, 2021, at UPMC East. Born November 15, 1958, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Cynthia (Gallaway) Deemer.
Anita dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of the former St. John's Lutheran Church of McKeesport. Anita enjoyed cooking, attending bingo, reading, and singing. However, her greatest joy was the time she spent laughing with her family, especially grandson Lance, the light of her life.
In addition to her mother, Anita is also survived by her children, Tiana Simmons of McKeesport, and Lance Simmons of McKeesport; grandson, Lance Elias-Simmons of Port Vue; siblings, Carol (Jason Ahearn) Cumberland of Dravosburg, Kellie (Ryan Nestor) Deemer of McKeesort, and William (Amy) Deemer of West Mifflin; nephew, Josh Deemer of Versailles; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her father, Anita was also preceded in death by her brother, Brian Cumberland; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Gallaway.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
