Salvatore A. Teti

Salvatore A. Teti, age 93, of McKeesport, died June 29, 2015, at Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. He was born March 14, 1922, in Palena, Italy. Beloved husband of the late Enis (Pettinari) Teti and son of the late Angelo and Rosemilda (Travalini) Teti. Salvatore worked as a millwright for U.S. Steel for 42 years. He was a WWII Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was also a longtime member of St. Patrick Church and was a choir member until 2013. He was also a member of the American Legion #731, Amvets, Italian Sons and Daughters of America, 11th Ward Club and President of the Palanese Club of America for over 25 years. His hobbies included gardening, handyman work and he was also an avid bowler until the age of 92. Loving father of Gloria (the late Robert) Wargo of Garden Grove, CA, Anthony (Karen) Teti of Pittsburgh and the late Rita Taylor; grandfather of Jenna (Jim) Murphy, Aaron Wargo, Evan (Meaghan) Wargo, Josh and Cassi Teti, Tracy and Jesse Taylor; great-grandfather of Elizabeth and Jaise Murphy and Isla Wargo; brother of Mario and Perino Teti.Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Monday, July 6, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July *, 2015, 10a.m. at St. Patrick Church. Father Vincent Velas will be the celebrant. Entombment to follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery. Salvatore was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
