Rosella Irene Fichera

Rosella Irene Fichera, age 100, of Elizabeth, formerly of West Mifflin, died March 1, 2019, at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. Born June 22, 1918, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Stella (Sabella) Giganti and the wife of the late Thomas S. Fichera. Rosella dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and a Christian Mother. In her earlier years, she was a past volunteer at McKeesport Hospital and was employed at the former Jaison's Clothing Store and Orlando's Food Market both of McKeesport. Rosella enjoyed playing cards, working word puzzles, crocheting and embroidery. Although, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by children, Rose Ann (Michael) Tullier of Covina, CA, Thomas (Evie) Fichera of West Mifflin and James (Maureen) Fichera of North Huntingdon; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Anselmo of White Oak; many nieces and nephews; also dear friend, Jody Petrick. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosella was also preceded in death by siblings, Julius Giganti, Rose Panico, Stella Lopretto, Dorothy Annoreno, Sarah Gumina and Josephine Annoreno. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, March 4, 2019, from 2 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Church.
