Julie Ann (Reese) Vaughn

Julie Ann Vaughn, age 67, of Glassport, died June 1, 2019, at Jefferson Regional Hospital. Born December 25, 1951, in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Nancy Alice (Nees) Reese and the wife of Thomas C. Vaughn.
Julie was a retired English teacher. She taught 8th grade English in Apple Valley, CA, and Cognitive Brain Training at the Learning RX of Hesperia, CA. She was a member of Psi Chi Honor Society and attended West Liberty University and Wheeling Jesuit University, where she earned her BA in Psychology. Julie was a member of Corpus Christi Church, where she was active with the Ladies of Charity and a Prayer Ministry group. She enjoyed singing and searching family genealogy. Julie was a woman of family and faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
 In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Joshua of Albuquerque, NM, and Alyssa of Glassport; also nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
