John Hvozdik Obituary

John P. "Captain" Hvozdik, age 59, of Port Vue, died April 5, 2019 at UPMC McKeesport. Born December 9, 1959, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John P. Hvozdik and the late Betty (Arana) Hvozdik Calvert. John retired from the Brick Layers Union. He enjoyed the outdoors hiking, feeding the wildlife and traveling.
John is survived by son, Michael of Port Vue and his mother, Linda (McFarland) Hvozdik; significant other, Val (Mort) Himich; brothers, Steven (Dawn) of Port Vue, David of Elizabeth Twp., Robert of Elizabeth; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brother, Thomas and sister, Cynthia.
