Johanna M. "Hinse" Bell

Johanna M. "Hinse" Bell, age 77, of McKeesport, passed away, August 2, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born November 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Adolf E. and Mary (Ivkovich) Zawilla and the wife of the late George Bell.
Johanna retired from the City of McKeesport, where she was the secretary of the Redevelopment Authority. She loved McKeesport and was very proud to serve it. After retiring at the age of 73, she enjoyed the company of her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light and love of her life. Her family was always first, and everyone was considered family. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport.
She is survived by her children, Cindy (Ken) Grimm of North Huntingdon, George Bell of McKeesport, Jenny (Russ) Abbot of Ligonier, and James (Lynn) Bell of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Christy, Andrew, Patty, Danielle, Christian, Adam, Jenny and Caeleen; great-grandchildren, Oakley, Kennedy and Johanna; sisters, Sylvia Burak, Rosalee Getsy and Theresa (Don) Kolodziej; also many nieces and nephews; and partner for many years, Anthony Sabeeney of McKeesport.
In addition to her husband and parents, Johanna was also preceded in death by her 18-month old sister, Gloria; grandsons, Joshua and Owen.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
