Joan Dolores (Allen) Brown

Joan Dolores Brown, age 74, of McKeesport, died May 31, 2019, at home. Born May 2, 1945, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Bernum and Jean (Jenkins) Allen and the wife of the late Kenneth Blake Brown. Joan was a woman of faith and family. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and working crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her children, Sophia, Kenneth "K.B." and Kevin all of McKeesport; grandchildren, Romica, Pierre, Jasmine, Taylor, Shane, Kennedy, Karen and Kavea; great-grandchildren, Sincere, Honest, Truth, Jeramiah and Jayla; siblings, Peggy Law, Eleanor Allen, Dottie Blackwell, Gladys Allen, Sandra Scott, Peaches Allen and James "Snooky" Allen; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Patty Allen, Kay Campbell, Vickie Allen, Larry Allen and Chester Allen.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 11 a.m. until the celebration of life service at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Minister Eric Perdue will be the celebrant.
