Grace Joy (D'Andrea) Benteler

Grace Joy Benteler, age 90, of Elizabeth Township died October 14, 2019 at home. Born July 10, 1929 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Josephine (Mazzucco) D’Andrea and the wife of Earl Benteler.
Grace married her best friend, Earl, in 1956, and they spent 63 years together. Grace had worked for the Duquesne Light Company and as a caretaker for her grandchildren. She loved her family and cared for them as a homemaker. Grace was a volunteer at UPMC McKeesport Hospital in the gift shop. She enjoyed tending to her garden and cooking for her family.
In addition to her husband, Earl Benteler, she is survived by her children, Lisa Benteler-Boczar of North Huntingdon and Jerry Benteler of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Zachary, Natalie, and Emily.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Leo D’Andrea.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Friday, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport. Committal will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
